														Christian Fiess -
														Migration from German
														Villages

														These German
														villages are the places
of origin of many of our
														Black Sea German
														ancestors. This data is
														based primarily on the
														records of Christian
														Fiess, who was a teacher
														in Sarata, Bessarabia.
														Christian was the first
														archivist and curator of
														the Bessarabien
														Heimatmuseum in
														Stuttgart, Germany. He
														spent more than 60 years
														collecting family
														documents and materials
														to preserve our Black
														Sea German heritage.
