My great-great grandmother was Katherina Schaff (b. 1856) from Speier. Her name was listed on my great-grandfather's death certificate in Seattle. She married Melchior Wirtz (b. 1848) from Speier, also listed on my great-grandfather's death certificate. Her parents were George Schaff (b. 1817 d. 1888 in Speier) and Magdalena Rieger (b. 1815 d. 1894 in MN). I got this info from the Black Sea Group. I'd love to connect with any relatives, as my grandfather has no knowledge of any of these people. Marcie Wirtz Cheung |
