Hi, I am looking for information on the Vogelsang family. The last information we have is on Adam Vogelsang (*1855) and his son Adolf Vogelsang. They lived in Marjanowka. Irina (Era), a daughter of Adolf moved to Kasachstan, Tadjikistan and finally to the Hameln area in Germany. I am very interested in the original city/town from where the Vogelsangs migrated to Russia, the generations before Adam Vogelsang (I dont have any names) and the other decendants of Adam and Adolf Vogelsang as well as their wives Sperling and Jahns. According to the Stumpp book, The Emigration from German to Russia in the Years 1763-1862, pg 470, it lists a Vogelsang, Wilhelm, from Westfalen, 1896, in Gnadenburg, North Caucasus. Also lists: Vogelsang, to Grunau-Kronsdorf/Grunau District, pg 876. Hope this helps. Gayla Aspenleiter |
