I am researching the GAUER family who came to Russia in 1864 from Galicia, AUS. The family tree I have now is: Franz GAUER b: 02 May 1832 in Bedrykowce,AUT d: 10 Feb 1882 in Neu Kassel,RUS +Maria Elizabeth HERZ b: 1837 in Bedrykowce,AUT d: 18 Jan 1904 in Winnipeg,CAN ..Rudolph GAUER b: 28 Jun 1864 in Bedrykowce,AUT d: 16 May 1914 in Winnipeg,CAN ...+Anna SCHMALENBERG b: 18 Jun 1862 in Augustdorf,AUT d: 14 May 1932 in Winnipeg,CAN ....Henry GAUER b: 01 Nov 1886 in Nesselrode,RUS d: 18 Feb 1958 in Winnipeg,CAN ....Jacob GAUER b: 12 Feb 1888 in Nesselrode,RUS d: 30 Nov 1964 in Winnipeg,CAN ..Emilie GAUER b: 10 Feb 1868 in Birsula,RUS d: Unknown in ? ..Mathilde GAUER b: 13 Feb 1870 in Birsula,RUS d: Unknown in ? ...+August BUSCHAU b: 27 Jun 1868 in "Germany" d: Unknown in ? ..Julia GAUER b: 30 Nov 1873 in Birsula,RUS d: Unknown in ? ...+Thomas NEILSON b: 20 Nov 1870 in Scotland d: Unknown in ? ..Franz GAUER b: 10 Nov 1875 in Birsula,RUS d: 27 Apr 1882 in Sophiental,RUS ..Jacob GAUER b: 24 Jun 1882 in Birsula,RUS d: 1958 in Winnipeg,CAN ...+Barbara SEEL b: 1886 in unknown d: 09 Feb 1960 in Winnipeg,CAN I am particularly interested in finding what happened to Emilie Gauer who did not emigrate to Canada with the rest of the living family members above in 1890. She probably married which is why I can find no record of her after her birth. |

There is a second GAUER family in Russia who are unrelated to my Gauers as far as I can tell. They came to Russia earlier and settled in the villages of Kandel & Selz in the Kutschurgan area. They also appear in EWZ records so they stayed in Russia past the great emigrations of the 1890s and early 1900s. Beyond that I have little information on them but I would be happy to share what I have as I am interested in all Gauers worldwide (http://www.gauerfamily.org/). |
