Hello,
I just recently joined the forum. The surnames I am researching are those of my paternal grandfather, Jacob Mannhalter and greatgrandfather Adam Mannhalter. The maternal sides of my family are Sauer, Kautz, Veil, and Hess. They all came from the Wuertemberg and Prussian regions in Germany and settled in the Glueckstal, Bergdorf, Odessa and Hoffnungstal colonies in the early and middle 1800s, later immigrating to the U.S. in 1889.
Thank you for any information you might have on these families.

Joyce Johnson
